Akshay Kumar (Date of Birth: September 9, 1967, actual name Rajiv Bhatia) was born in Amritsar. His father, Hari Om Bhatia, was a government worker. Kumar was raised in famous Chandni Chowk of Delhi. He rfeceived his education at Don Bosco School and then Khalsa College. He studied martial arts in Bangkok.

He dated Poota Batra, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty before marrying to Twinkle Khanna. He is religious person and visits the Four Bungalows Gurdwara whenever he is in Mumbai.

Akshay is very conscious about his fitness and used to jog at 4 a.m on Mumbai road. He has turned his old house into a gym.

His father gifted him a motorbike longtime back, which he cleans every weekend. His first car was a Fiat. Today, he owns a Zen, Honda CRV, Porsche, Bentley and Merc, prefers to commute in his Honda CRV. He is sentimental about his first motorcycle, car, house and pair of jeans! He uses his motorbike to go for shootsings to avoid heavy traffic.

Akki worked in Bangkok as a chef after that he was teaching martial arts in Bombay to on Rs 4,000 per month. He is a good cook. He loves paaya and masala jhinga cooked by Dimple. He’s crazy about sushi, gulab jamuns and jalebis dipped in milk.

Akshay Kumar's Filmography

Akshay kumar has acted in more than 80 films. His first modelling assignment was for a furniture showroom for a sum of Rs 5,500. Though he made his debut in Deedar, Akshay's first film appearance was in Aaj, where he played a martial arts instructor for five seconds. Pramod Chakravarthy's Deedar was his debut film.

He’s done seven films with the title Khiladi, all afre action films: Khiladi, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, International Khiladi, Mr Aur Mrs Khiladi and Khiladi 420 ! These days he is performing in comedy films and is considered to be the highest paid Bollywood actor.

He was awarded the Filmfare Best Comedian Award for his film "Garam Masala" in 2005 and "Namastey London" in 2007. He was also nominated for Filmfare Best Actor Award and Asian Film Award for his movie, "Singh Is Kinng" (2008).
