Biography

Shahid Kapoor (height 5ft 7in, birthday February 25, 1981) was born February in Mumbai, India. He is the son of actor Pankaj Kapoor and classical dancer Neelima Azeem. His mother and father got divorced when he was three years of age. After the divorce of his parents, he did not live with is stepmother, Supriya Pathak, but with his mother.

Filmography

Shahid's first film was Taal (1999) as a background dancer with Aishwarya Rai in the song Kahiin Aag Lage Lag Jawe. Ishq Vishk (2003) was his first film as a leading actor for which he won Best Male Debut Award from Filmfare, Star screen, Zee Cine Awards and IIFA Awards. Then he gave commendable performances in Fida (2004) and Shikhar (2005). His Vivah (2006) and Jab We Met (2007) with Kareena Kapoorwere commercially successful.
