Balika Vadhu

The Serial "Balika Vadhu" is currently being telecast on Colors TV in India every Monday to Friday at 8:00 pm. The serial deals with child marriage, which is still prevalent in some parts of India. The show is produced by Sphere Origins and directed by Siddhartha Sen Gupta and Pradeep Yadhav.

Balika Vadhu is set in rural Rajasthan. It is a story of a child bride Anandi (played by Avika Gor) who was married at the age of eight to a young boy Jagdish (played by Avinash Mukherjee). The show is very colorful with Rajasthani songs and dances.

Balika Vadhu has become a most popular show these days.
