The first season of the show was started in July 2008. It had 16 episodes. The Contestants were: Aditi Govitrikar, Anita Hassnandani, Anjana Sukhani, Dipannita Sharma, Meghana Naidu, Nethra Raghuraman, Pooja Bedi, Sonali Kulkarni, Tapur Chatterjee, Tupur Chatterjee Urvashi Sharma, Vidya Malvade and Yana Gupta. Actress Nethra Raghuraman won the first season of the show.

Khatron Ke Khiladi - Level 2 has 13 celebrity women, including Brazilian beauty Bruna Abdullah, Mandira Bedi, Shweta Salve, Rosa Catalano, Sushma Reddy, Rupali Ganguly, Carol Gracias, VJ Anushka Manchanda and Shonali Nagrani among others and each of them has a male partner and they compete with each other to win Rs.5 million as prize money.
