Comedy in Bollywood Movies

Comedy in bollywood movies is quite popular. Almost all the movies have some scenes depicting comedies. The actors or actresses try to give laugh to the viewers by making funny faces, dialogue deliveries, etc. Comedians like Johnywalker, Mehmood, Jagdeep, Shubha Khote and Tuntun were famous in old movies. The directors like Hrishikesh Mukherjee who were famous for making comedy movies in past.

These actors played only secondary roles in movies and their roles were also very limited in duration. Very few comedy movies were made in past.

Today, Bollywood has changed. Comedy has been a vital part of any movie and a lot of movies have been made only on comedy. In 2007-2012, majority of hit movies were comedy movies. And the comedians of these movies were not comedians at all, but they were actors from mainline movies like Govinda, Pares Rawal, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Arsad Warsi, Boman Irani to name a few.    This movie is being remade starring Shahrukh Khan, Tusshar Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.
8. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983)
   This is a classic and the most high-valued comedy movie ever made in Bollywood by the director Kundan Shah who got the Indira Gandhi award for best first film by a director. Ravi Baswani was awarded the Filmfare award of best comedian of the year.
